Visitor Information: Tour Trinity

Transportation: Peter Pan Bus Lines and Amtrak train stations are located at One Union Place in Hartford. Traveling by plane? Bradley International Airport, serving Hartford and Springfield, Massachusetts, is approximately 30 minutes from the College by car. Car rental agencies are available at the airport.

Stay: Right on campus, you will find Smith House. Many families stay at The Goodwin; a charming boutique hotel in the heart of Hartford. Also downtown is The Hartford Marriott as well as the Hilton.

Coffee: Head to Story and Soil or Blue State Coffee for your morning caffeine boost. Both have a great vibe where you'll find many Bantams studying. We asked a student for his recommendations and he steered us to The Underground, conveniently located on campus. If you are visiting during the cooler months, hot cider at Peter B’s is a great way to warm up!

Breakfast: In a hurry? Students swear by Goldbergs located right on campus. First and Last Cafe serves handcrafted artisan breads, baked goods, pastries, and sandwiches. Sunberry Cafe serves a variety of breakfast items including eggs and pancakes. Graduates actually miss the on-campus food at Mather Dining Hall

Lunch: One student told us, "Grab lunch at The Bistro and order the Caprese sandwich, a side salad, and a smoothie - you can't go wrong." We recommend ordering the "award-winning" burnt ends at Bears Smokehouse BBQ, a Connecticut institution. Offering a seasonal menu, Firebox is good for both lunch and dinner. The Blind Pig has the best pizza in town. Tisane Euro Asian Café is a chic, arty restaurant right on Farmingdale.

Dinner

Casual: Famous for its Southern-style cuisine, dine at Black Eyed Sally's. Park & Oak, another Southern charmer, serves a fantastic chicken and waffles dish. One alum told us she often craves the Carribean food at Jerk Pit Cafe.  Diner style dishes are the draws at Effies Place. Recently opened Porrón&Piña, a Spanish inspired restaurant and wine bar in the historic Goodwin Hotel is also highly recommended.

A Step Up: Reserve a table at Salute, an Italian-inspired bistro in the heart of Hartford. The menu at Trumbull Kitchen offers an eclectic menu; share a bunch of small plates to start before moving on to the more substantial entrees with a contemporary slant. Other popular spots include Dish Bar & Grill, Max Downtown and Carbone's Restaurant.

Sweets & Late Night SnackThe Cupcake Brake, a mobile cupcake truck, serves homemade cupcakes daily. Mozzicato serves delicious Italian pastries and gelato. Zero Degree Thai Ice Cream serves legendary hand rolled ice cream with unusual flavors like Key Lime Pie or Matcha Made in Heaven.
